When certain changes are made in Exchange, Microsoft 365, or Box, the sync times may vary depending on the service. We have listed the sync times for each change below:

Exchange

Adding a user to a GRO group for access to a shared mailbox

The group permission will finish syncing to Exchange Online within about 3 hours on average. Our service level agreement (SLA) with Microsoft indicates that the sync is guaranteed to finish within 24 hours.

Adding a user to an AD group for a Shared Mailbox

The new permission will sync to Exchange Online within 120 minutes on average, depending on Microsoft's service health. As stated above, our SLA guarantees that changes will sync within 24 hours.

Giving a user permissions to another mailbox in Exchange Online

Permissions changes for mailboxes already in Exchange Online will sync within 20 minutes, and often much quicker.

Changing or adding new Primary SMTP address

The address change will sync to Exchange Online within 120 minutes on average, depending on Microsoft's service health. As stated above, our SLA guarantees that changes will sync within 24 hours.

Changing Display Name of an email account

The display name change will sync to Exchange Online within 120 minutes on average, depending on Microsoft's service health. As stated above, our SLA guarantees that changes will sync within 24 hours.

Correcting errors in OfficeHelp tied to secondary SMTP addresses or partially locked mailboxes

The changes will sync almost immediately with the exception of mailboxes hidden from the address book. Hidden mailboxes take a little longer, typically up to an hour.

Issue with mailbox is full message even when there is still space

Sending email to a locked mailbox will always result in a bounce message saying that the mailbox is full.

Microsoft 365

Adding/Removing Microsoft 365 Licenses

The licensing change will sync within a few minutes, but will only remain long term if the user has an active role. If the user does not have an active role, they will lose their license the following day.

Box

Adding users to groups after logging in for the first time

The user's Active Directory Group memberships should sync within 2-7 minutes.

Syncing users' updated Active Directory groups to Box

It can take up to several hours for group memberships to show up in Box after they are updated. The Box group sync tool runs every 3 hours on weekdays and every 6 hours on weekends. The sync could take up to 3 hours during the week and up to 6 hours on weekends depending on how close to the time of the sync the group change occurs.
